Scarlet's 1st Birthday

I made a beehive for Scarlet's first birthday.

It was yellow and chocolate cake with chocolate icing between layers. Buttercream icing was piped in circles around and round the cake. Plastic bumble bees and lady bugs were stuck onto cake. It needed chocolate sprinkle 'bee trails' but I did not have time to find the can of sprinkles.

I decorated this whole cake in 30 minutes as we were late leaving town and I had to hurry! I thought it turned out cute!

A & R wedding cake

This is my first (hopefully, only) wedding cake disaster! It collapsed on the way to the wedding!! Fortunately I had taken these pictures right when I was finished decorating.

The cake was to have a monogram topper and pink rose petals scattered down it.

I sent someone to purchase more roses, then covered the top and sides to hide as much of the damage as possible. I do not have a picture of the results.
